What causes kidney stones?
If you’ve ever had kidney stones you’ll know how painful they can be. Kidney stones are caused by mineral deposits, usually calcium, which form into Kidney stones are mineral deposits – usually some form of calcium, such as calcium oxalate – deposited in the kidneys, which form small sand-like stones inside the kidneys.
They can also be caused by struvite stones which occurs in response to infections like urinary tract infections. Then there are uric acid stones, cystine stones and more. The primary cause of some varieties of stones is from not drinking enough water.
The stone may remain in the kidney for weeks, months or even years without causing any symptoms. However, if it moves, it may cause big pain in the back, hips and bloody, muddy urine.
In such a situation, it is advisable to drink huge amount of liquid to allow the stone to be kicked out by urinating and take some analgesics in order to relief the pain. But if the stone is too large, it may require surgery for its removal. There is another option which combines plenty of fluids in order for the stone to be suppressed. We are going to explain this option in the article, below, in order to break the stone and to eject it out of the body.
Then the article goes on to describe an drink that can break up the kidney stones. Drinking enough water may prevent you from getting these stones, but if you have kidney stones it certainly is worth a try to make this drink. The ingredient parsley root may not be as common to most people as the other ingredients.
Parsley is actually in the carrot family and looks like a carrot in shape, but not color. Parsley greens are filled with nutrients but you rarely see it sold with the root intact. It may not be as easy to purchase as the other ingredients.
Here is the drink to disolve kidney stones
- 250 grams / 8.8 oz of cold pressed olive oil
- 250 grams / 8.8 oz of organic honey
- 250 grams / 8.8 oz of lemon
- 250 grams / 8.8 oz of parsley root
- 1 cup of maple syrup
Method of preparation:
Chop the lemon, together with its rind, put it in a blender and mix it well. After that, clean and chop the parsley root and add it in the blender. Add the maple syrup and olive oil as well and mix everything good until you get homogeneous mixture.
Transfer the resulting mixture in a glass jar which you need to keep in the fridge.
Consume one tablespoon of the mixture each morning on an empty stomach. Make sure you drink plenty of liquids during the whole day.
Lemon becomes alkaline in your body which is a great way to counteract an acidic body. They also contain vitamin C and flavonoids. The citric acid in lemons is what can help to dissolve the kidney stones.
Apple cider vinegar is also very high in acetic acid and can also help to dissolve kidney stones. The best is the raw naturally fermented apple cider vinegar which has living enzymes. One of the best is Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar.
I like to start the morning with 1 TB Organic Apple Cider Vinegar and a pinch of hymilayan salt in 2 cups of water. I’m sure that would be benefitial for people looking to dissove kidney stones.
Here are some other drinks that may help.
Kidney Stone Juice
1 orange, peeled
4 slices of watermelon
4 ice cubes
All ingredients must be organic. Then blend them all and that’s it.
These options may also be worth trying. Turmeric is one of my alltime favorite spices. There is practically no dementia or alzheimer’s disease in India. This has been atributed to their high use of turmeric. I try to add it to soups, hot cereal, smoothies and more. It has terrific anti-imflamitory properties.
It’s most commonly found as a powder, but there is a health food store near us that carries the root. It looks like a ginger root, but has an orange color. I’ve used the root in juicing drinks and in smoothies.

Here are some compilation of several single and combination juices you can try to naturally flush or remove gallstones:
1. Vegetable Juice
Just mix beet, carrot and cucumber juice. Then drink it twice daily for two weeks.
2. Lemon Juice
Drink lemon water daily before eating or drinking anything. Just squeeze 4 lemons then add with water. This continuous drinking routine will help to get rid of gallstones. Added to that, drink lots of water daily.
Pour 1 tsp of turmeric mix with honey. Then drink it daily until the gallstones dissolved or flushed out.
3. Epsom Salt
Pour 1 tsp of epsom salt into a room temperature drinking water and drink it at night. This epsom salt help gallstones to move through the bile duct.
Water makes up between 50-75% of our bodies. We can live for weeks without food, but only for 3 days without water. If you don’t get enough water, you are at a much higher risk of developing kidney stones. You are also at a higher risk for getting urinary tract infections and constipation.
Fruits and vegetables are naturally high in water and can help add in hydration. They are also filled with thousands of phytonutrients that were just recently discovered. Scientist were excited to discover 13 vitamins and immediately began making ‘vitamin pills’. Don’t waste your money. Now we’ve discovered that there are over 40,000 phytonutrients found in fruits and vegetables.
Also, I don’t recommend drinking tap water. Filtered water is much better. We use an alkalyne water filter.
Here’s a site that mentions the need for drinking more water if you have kidney stones.
In a guideline published Monday in the Annals of Internal Medicine, the American College of Physicians recommends increasing fluid intake and spreading throughout the day.
It may take eight to 10 glasses of water over the course of a day to comply. The recommendation calls for achieving at least 2 liters of urine a day.
It might also help to cut back on colas. A study cited by the American College of Physicians found that kidney stone patients who agreed to change their beverage habits and abstain from soda — specifically colas acidified with phosphoric acid — cut their risk of a recurrence by about 15 percent.
I hope you find some of the suggestions above useful.
